About Blue Eye United Methodist Church
Please allow me to introduce you to the Blue Eye United Methodist Church, a vibrant faith community that when you walk through the door of our church, you are no longer a visitor: You are family! Please consider this my personal invitation for you to come and be a part of our Blue Eye family!
Pastor Jack
Pastor Jack Smith is a retired United Methodist pastor from Minnesota who retired in the Branson area. After serving 37 years in Minnesota and 5 years at Silver Dollar City in Branson, he was asked to serve Blue Eye UM Church for a year. He and his wife Peg have been with the Blue Eye Church over 10 years! Since arriving at Blue Eye, the church has added the words, “Open Doors” United Methodist Church of Blue Eye as the name they go by now. He has been part of an addition project, remodeling Janice’s’ Ministry House and developing a K&J Gazebo Ministry.
Jack and Peg have three children (Jennifer, Malinda, and Michael). They have 7 grandchildren (Even, William, Hannah, Abigail, Micah, Alexander, and Cassandra). They love history and visiting family. Also, Peg’s sister (Karen) and Jack’s brother and sister-in-law (Dwane and Bev) live in the Branson area so they love doing activities with them.
Peg works at the Chateau on the Lake and keeps the Sweet Shoppe running. All in all, the Smith family has been active in the church and is their semi-retirement.
